Exciting Updates: Address, Flooring, and Timeframe - Get Ready!

We are thrilled to provide you with some exciting updates on our progress for the new Bay Jiu-Jitsu Mill Valley gym.

Gym Location: Our gym's home is at 384 Miller Avenue, nestled between the delicious Joe's Tacos and the convenience of Whole Foods. It's not just a gym; it's a hub for community and convenience. Drop off the kids for class, grab a taco or coffee, or get your grocery shopping done—all in one trip!

Maximizing Mat Space: In our 950-square-foot space, we're leaving no stone unturned. Our mat layout is designed with precision, optimizing every inch to give you over 700 square feet of prime jiu-jitsu training space.

Sprung Flooring: Exciting news! This week, we expect our final shipments of mats, plywood, and foam to roll in. We're all set to construct a soft and springy subfloor throughout the gym, ensuring a safe and comfortable training environment. Construction began last week.

Opening Day: Get ready to mark your calendars! As soon as our floor is set, we're geared up to start classes. Based on shipment arrivals and construction, we're looking at starting classes during the week of September 25th. Stay tuned for more details on our opening day party, where we'll have food, music, and, of course, some jiu-jitsu! We'll share updates with you as we finalize the date and time.

Class Schedule & Format: We're laying the groundwork for an epic class schedule. Initially, classes will run on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Each day will offer multiple classes, catering to various age groups for both kids and adults. Our classes will generally cover calisthenics, technique, drilling, active sparring (rolling), and a cooldown. Stay tuned as we'll share a more detailed class schedule within the next two weeks. We're eager to collaborate with our supporters and the community to create a class schedule that suits you best.

Parent Involvement with Kids' Classes: We are looking for parents and other enthusiasts who are interested in helping with kids' classes. You don't need to be a jiu-jitsu expert; all we ask is that you have a passion for helping the kids and a willingness to learn! Parent involvement in the kids' classes reinforces the sense of community that we as a gym value so much. Please reply to this email if you are interested in assisting with kids classes, and I'll provide you with more details on how you can get involved.

We can't thank you enough for your unwavering support and patience as we embark on this journey. We're counting down the days until we can roll with you and your family on the mats!

Best regards,

Stephan Goyne
