Mikka Minx

Mikka Minx

BayAcro Instructor

Mikka started yoga at the age of 15, and explored many practices through classes, workshops, immersions and festivals all over the world. Her favorite styles of yoga are Vinyasa flow and Ashtanga, which took her to Mysore, India in 2007 to study with Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. After traveling for 2 years to over 50 countries, she moved to San Francisco for UC Berkeley graduate school during which she completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training from Yoga Tree.

Mikka then completed her Circus yoga teacher training with Erin & Kevin O’Keefe, restorative yoga teacher training with Judith Hanson Lasater, and then AcroYoga teacher training with Jessie Goldberg and Eugene Poku at AcroYoga Montreal in 2011.

The endless opportunities for acrobatics, circus arts and aerial dance in SF is a huge inspiration for her movement practice. With her background in yoga and acrobatics, her classes focus on alignment and the playfulness of the circus arts. She encourages her students to always explore new acro possibilities. Mikka enjoys hosting weekly acro-jams and acro-themed parties to continue building the already thriving BayAcro community.
